CLOUD burn, NEAR profit-taking and FIL supply risk

Bitcoin gained 2.4% over the week, while the market excluding Bitcoin fell 1.8% and Bitcoin’s market share rose to 57.7%. That uneven backdrop calls for caution around token-specific catalysts. Tomorrow’s CLOUD burn is the nearest event; NEAR’s issuance vote and FIL’s approaching vesting end also deserve position-risk checks.

Check whether the burn stops the selling

For CLOUD holders, tomorrow’s scheduled 25% supply burn comes amid a 29.8% weekly decline, despite a 108% monthly gain. At $0.0602, price is below the $0.0644–$0.0647 lows recorded on October 4 and September 28, weakening the recent trading floor. Confirm the burn actually occurs and monitor completed daily closes: recovering that floor would ease immediate pressure, while regaining the September 29–October 1 trading area around $0.0722–$0.0723 would improve the assessment further. If weakness persists, chart support at $0.0374 is roughly 38% below current price—not a forecast, but a substantial remaining risk.

Trim an existing holding if $5.57 stalls

If already holding NEAR, consider taking some profit on a rally toward $5.57 that fails to hold above it. That level marked the September 27 high; NEAR is now $5.00 after gaining 130% over a month versus roughly 10% for its sector, then losing 8.8% this week. The recently announced issuance proposal could reach a vote by October 11, but approval would start a 24-month reduction rather than an immediate supply cut. A sustained daily close above $5.57 would change the profit-taking assessment, with $6.20 the next checkpoint. Recent daily ranges have often been wide, so an intraday touch alone is insufficient.

Monitor the recent trading floor

FIL holders should watch for a completed daily close below $0.9845, the October 2 low defining the bottom of its recent trading range. That would signal the range has failed and bring $0.8584 support into focus. At $1.09, FIL remains below $1.13, which it closed beneath on September 28. A daily recovery above $1.13 followed by holding it would ease this concern; $1.23 would then be the next checkpoint. The October 15 vesting end cuts gross issuance roughly 75%, but this long-standing announcement does not establish fresh demand. Recent intraday ranges often span roughly 3–9%, so distinguish a temporary dip from a closing breakdown.
